Watch for President Obama and his sycophants to continue dropping hints at a THIRD term, just like FDR. After all, the Republicans are so stupid they will play right into the argument (as it will go) that we need Obama for AT LEAST four more years because the Republicans are bad for gays, abortionists, the poor, the uneducated, the unemployed, all minorities, socialists, women, illegal aliens, and everyone who receives a government check. In other words, Democrats are trying to build a coalition of what would become a super-majority of our population that they will count on to revolutionize the US over the next 20 years.
Meanwhile the national debt that will sink us continues to grow as America sleeps. When we use more than half our federal government expenditures (currently 43%) on strictly paying the INTEREST on the national debt, how far are we from total collapse? Washington wants to play chicken with our future by spending our way to oblivion. As that particular % continues to rise, where do we stop? 75%, 99%... what's left to run the country? We must cut spending (as in Simpson/Boles) and raise taxes on most people, with an accompanying loss of government services, in order not to default as a nation. Too big to fail: a myth.
If we had the power and motivation to actually organize and rise up and throw the bums out, we could. Where is that effective third party? And democracy only takes 50+% (or 34% in a race with a third party candidate) but with a dearth of good candidates and intelligent electorate, we are headed for monumental changes that we will regret. There will
never be an effective third party, however; the 1st and 2nd parties are not effective. Multiple parties could participate so effective coalitions to get something done can be formed. Non-party candidates could run for office, as long as they are patriots and statesmen, not puppets being controlled by rich power brokers.
Education, business, entertainment, government: All our institutions have failed us, especially the American Church. Social problems should have been handled by the Church. Marriage and family should have been better handled by the Church. But it's not too late for a revival, as long as Christians are ready to accept everyone into their loving care BEFORE they become believers, with the intent of helping them on their journey to belief.
America has gotten too soft and stupid. There is so little thinking outside the box, outside the 2-party system, outside left and right, liberal and conservative. Are there any free thinking individuals willing to serve their country without ties to somebody they are beholden to besides all the American people? Who thinks of ALL the American people and ONLY the American people? Who would be willing to not worry about their next election? Who would serve strictly for the honor of serving and not for the purpose of self-aggrandizement?
